Heroes 1.11 - Prey
Heroes 1.11 - Prey
Buffy and Angel have just agreed to join forces and work together when Buffy receives a phone call from Riley. He needs her help. Buffy calls the others and asks them to meet her at Champion Investigations.
A demon murders a sorcerer who won't do what he requested.
Buffy tells the gang what's going on - a demon has escaped from a local military holding zone and hopes to find someone who will open a portal home. Riley's called Buffy in to help find this creature. They split up into groups for research and reconnaissance.
Illyria visits the Brotherhood of Renraw, observes the worshippers. She then tells Nivel that she has not yet accepted his worship and leaves.
Spike and Gunn check out a local magic shop and get the names of local sorcerers that might be able to create a portal.
Angel and Buffy go to the house of the sorcerer murdered earlier and find the remains. They check in with Dawn and continue hunting. Along the way, Buffy asks Angel about Wesley. Angel refuses to discuss him. They are unaware that Illyria is watching them.
At Andrew's apartment, Andrew and Xander get in an argument while researching. Willow and Xander leave to get some books they need while Dawn comforts Andrew.
Buffy and Angel arrive at the home of another sorcerer only to find that she has been murdered as well.
Spike and Gunn made it to the third sorcerer in time to talk with him, but the demon shows up while they're there. The sorcerer creates a portal and ducks out, leaving Spike and Gunn to face the demon. It throws them around a bit and leaves.
Willow tries to get Xander to talk about Anya, but he refuses. Illyria listens to them argue.
Gunn calls Buffy to let her know that the demon attacked them. Angel and Buffy decide to head to Orange County and hopefully get to the next nearest sorcerer before the demon does.
Back at Andrew's apartment, the demon bursts in and demands that Andrew create a portal. He tries to refuse, but the demon breaks some bones and insists. Andrew builds a portal but it's not an escape for the demon - Andrew's summoned another demon to attack it. It kills that creature, but Andrew's bought enough time for a team to arrive and capture the escaped demon.
Spike and Gunn go out for drinks and talk about Illyria, who's hiding nearby and listening.
At Angel's place, Angel mourns for his lost friends, and Illyria confronts him about it. When he challenges her and suggests that she might be mourning, too, she leaves.
Illyria returns to the Brotherhood of Renraw.
Ethan Rayne brings the captured demon to the coffin of Baldev, another Old One. It only takes minutes for Baldev's essence to take over the demon's body.
Dawn talks about researching something. It must be Tuesday.
