Xander is talking to Willow on the phonea about his new apartment. After he hangs up, another call comes in from a group of squealing fangirls. Fangirls?
Buffy and Dawn are walking across the UC San Diego campus when they notice they're being watched. Soon, the sisters find a line has formed to get their signature.
Angel is being interviewed by Forbes Magazine when Gunn pulls him aside to talk about his weird encounter, but Angel's not a particularly sympathetic ear.
Buffy and Dawn arrive home after being accosted by paparazzi. Willow and Xander discuss the sudden burst of the big famey and visit the Buffy-summers.net site. They discover they're being worshipped as major celebrities, complete with pictures and a forum where weird fics of hot Spike/Xander action are posted.
Andrew comes in and mentions that the video he made in "Storyteller," which he thought had perished in Sunnydale's destruction, is alive and well and out on DVD. He's been getting phone calls like mad and may have arranged an E! interview with Buffy and treatment for Willow at a very prestigious healing center in town.

Illyria seeks out Spike in order to solve the mystery of what she perceives as altered reality. She finds him being accosted by a dozen vampires in a dark, rainy alley. She swoopos in and knocks the assailants aside, only to be chastised. Spike's making a demo reel to show Hollywood, and the "vampires" are all stuntmen.
On Wednesday, Buffy and a newly chipper Gunn settle in for a little television, but they can't escape the ongoing fame. Buffy watches with horror as E! parades out her love life as a soundbite.
Laurel sets Dawn up as a pop star, including a duet with Justin Timberlake and a coy, but only somewhat revealing CD cover. Andrew protests, but Laurel shuts him up with stunning news: George Lucas wants him to help write the new Star Wars sequels.
Gunn gives an enthusiastic presentation for a new urban youth initiative, but it turns out that the reporters are only interested in his handicap. When it's pointed out that
Gunn really hasn't done much with himself since the alley battle but piss and moan, he storms off. He vows to figure out just what the hell is going on.
Buffy patrols a cemetery, carefully listening for movement. She hears some rustling and dusts a vampire before he even manages to get out of his grave. It turns out that this is a demonstration for a camera crew. However, things get interesting when another camera crew shows up, to film Buffy's arch-nemesis's attempt to kill her. This fiendish foe turns out to be the rather unthreatening Lyle Gorch, who Buffy can't even remember. She dusts him with ease.
Xander opens the National Carpentry Association Conference. Illyria is with him, and she questions the fame situation and also the entire concept of the National Carpentry Association. Xander explains it to Illyria's satisfaction. In the shadows, a woman they can't see talks to her superior, noting taht she's thought of "a much more effective use for Xander Harris."
